Danielle Waleko, a senior at Drew University in Madison, N.J., and Ashley West, a sophomore at Susquehanna (Pa.) University, have been named to all-region teams — Waleko in field hockey and West, who placed 33rd among 690 entrants in the national Division III race, in women’s cross-country.

In addition, Kim Valverde, the libero on Hillsborough Community College’s women’s volleyball squad in Tampa, Fla., and her teammates recently placed third in the National Junior College Athletic Association’s tournament after having won state, district, and conference championships.
