Boys Track’s Strong Showing

"We are all extremely confident in our team as a whole and in our ability to improve.”

Luis Morales, who coaches East Hampton High School’s boys track team, said, concerning last Thursday’s meet at Comsewogue, “Unfortunately, we didn’t win, but our guys put on a strong performance over all.”

“We did really well in all the running events, finishing second and third [Adam Cebulski and Eric Perez] in the mile, first [T.J. Paradiso] in the 400, first [Erik Engstrom] in the 800, second and third [Ian Barrett and Daniel Soto] in the 200, and we swept the 3,200 and won the 4-by-800 relay. But, of course, it takes more than running events to win a track meet. That being said, we are all extremely confident in our team as a whole and in our ability to improve.”

“This Saturday, we’re taking our team to Sag Harbor to participate in the Katy’s Courage 5K. We do it every year to support Jim Stewart and his family. We want to give back to the community every chance we get.”
