Guild Hall’s artist members submitted 463 works in their 77th annual show. Marla Prather, a curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, served as judge this year and selected Pamela Topham for top honors for a silk-and-wool tapestry called “Northwest Harbor, Early Light.” Sage Elsesser, an 18-year-old Ross School boarding student, was named best new artist, the youngest artist in the history of the awards to be so named. Other winners included Bastienne Schmidt, Allan Ryan, Robin Du Plessis, Corinne Soikin Strauss, Sheila Haskin-Loebel, Amy Wickersham, and William J. Tansey. Those receiving honorable mentions were Bo B.
