Two unrelated incidents early on Tuesday involving cars that slammed into utility poles sent the drivers first to the hospital and then to East Hampton Town Justice Court, where they were arraigned on charges of driving while intoxicated.
A bicyclist received non-life-threatening injuries when he tried to pass a truck as it was turning onto Main Street from Mill Hill Lane in East Hampton Village on Thursday afternoon, according to police.
Residents of East Flamingo Avenue in Montauk were awakened early Saturday morning by a loud crash, which brought many of them, and the hamlet’s entire contingent of East Hampton Town police officers, to the scene. A brief manhunt followed.
