As of earlier this week, the Montauk Mustangs were holding the fourth and final playoff spot in the Hamptons Collegiate Baseball League, having enjoyed wins in recent games over the league’s top three — Westhampton, Shelter Island, and North Fork.
Things have been going swimmingly for the East Hampton Little League baseball entries in the 11-to-12 and 9-to-10 playoff divisions.

In 7-on-7 men’s soccer games played at East Hampton’s Herrick Park on June 24, Tuxpan shut out Bateman Painting 3-0, Maidstone Market won by forfeit over Sag Harbor United, and Hampton F.C.-Bill Miller, the league leader, by far, defeated Tortorella Pools 2-1.
