Nina Piacentine broke her own school record in the 1,500-meter racewalk, and East Hampton’s boys 4-by-100 team (Danny Soto, Alberto Gallegos, T.J. Paradiso, and Robert Weiss) was a runner-up as well at division track meets this past week.
Ed Petrie, the man who gave this town, and Sag Harbor before that, so much to cheer about over his half-century career as a high school boys basketball coach, died on Sunday at Southampton Hospital at the age of 82.
