Edward J. Beck, 90, a resident of Montauk for more than 40 years who built the Rendezvous Motel on West Lake Drive and owned it for many years, died on Friday in North Palm Beach, Fla., of heart disease after a prolonged illness.
A 35-year Dayton Lane, East Hampton, resident, Elizabeth Holmes-Rosenberg died on Dec. 15 at Visiting Nurse Hospice in Northport after a stroke, her daughter, Trisha Mackay of East Moriches, said. She was 69 and had been in declining health for about five years.
Patrick J. McCormick, founder of the McCormick Trading Company of New York City and a longtime resident of East Hampton, died on Feb. 8 at home on Toilsome Lane. His death was the result of a major stroke, his family said. Mr. McCormick was 90 years old.
Richard Worthington, who grew up in East Hampton and taught elementary school in the upstate town of Greenwich for 30 years, died Sunday at St. Mary’s Hospital in Troy, N.Y., following a short illness. He was 75.
