Norborne Berkeley Jr. died at home in East Hampton last Thursday following a two-month illness with congestive heart failure. He was 89.

Ms. McCaffrey, who was known as Ginny, died last Thursday at Southampton Hospital. The East Hampton resident was 74 and had lung and bone cancer.

A Dec. 8 obituary for Ruth White, formerly of East Hampton and Water Mill, who died on Dec. 2, incorrectly listed her number of grandchildren. She had three.

Dorothy F. LaMay, a retired teacher who owned the Deerfield Cottages in Montauk, died at Southampton Hospital on Dec. 19. She was 85 and had a number of health issues.

Elizabeth Holmes-Rosenberg of East Hampton died on Dec. 15 in Northport. She was 69. A private memorial service will be held at a future date. A full obituary will appear in a future issue.  

Catherine M. White died at home on Hedges Land in Amagansett on Saturday. She was 88 and had lived in the hamlet for 47 years.

Elaine Dunn of Three Mile Harbor Road, East Hampton, died of complications of heart disease at the Southampton Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing on Sunday. She was 61.

Ernest Mott, a former Army medic, longtime employee of the A&P Tea Company, and member of the East Hampton Fire Department for 53 years, died on Dec. 13 in Sebastian, Fla. He was 91.

Gerhard Mercker died on Dec. 11 after an illness of a year at New York Presbyterian-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City. He was 70 years old.
