Girls lacrosse, which had been coming on of late, going 4-1 after beginning the season at 1-4, lost 12-10 at Kings Park, which, as a result, improved its record to 4-6, while Caitlin King’s team fell to 5-6.
“All it takes is a play here and a play there,” Mike Ritsi, East Hampton High’s baseball coach, said when questioned concerning Friday’s 6-3 loss here to Miller Place, which was the Bonackers’ 10th of the season vis-a-vis two wins.
The East Hampton High School boys tennis team continued undefeated, at 4-0, in league play this past week by bageling Riverhead 7-0 on April 15, the girls lacrosse team improved its record to 3-4, defeating Deer Park 17-8 and John Glenn 16-12.
While things continued to proceed in rather lackluster fashion last week insofar as East Hampton High’s lacrosse and baseball teams were concerned, the school’s boys tennis and track teams — not to mention the girls track team, which put up a fight in a losing cause — pushed to the fore.
