The regular season of Wednesday evening 7-on-7 men’s soccer play was to have ended at East Hampton’s Herrick Park last night with Maidstone Market, which was yet to be defeated going into yesterday’s games, likely to be the top seed.
Asked Monday if he had “a story to tell,” Kevin Barry, who coaches East Hampton High’s boys cross-country team, said, “Yes, definitely. We had a great state meet.”
East Hampton High’s girls 200-yard medley relay team made a splash in the county meet’s first event at Suffolk Community College-Brentwood Saturday by taking third place among the 18 entries in a state-qualifying time of 1 minute and 51.20 seconds.
