The Artists and Writers Softball Game is to be played at East Hampton’s Herrick Park on Saturday at 2 p.m., with batting practice beginning at noon.
Ryan Troudt, who, with his brother-in-law, Richie Bono, has coached Bono Plumbing in the East Hampton Town women’s slow-pitch softball league this summer, can’t remember exactly when he began coaching in the league, “18 or 19 years ago,” though he’s sure of one thing, to wit, that until last Thursday he’d never won a playoff championship before.
