'Dump Trump' Rally in Southampton Village Planned During President's Visit

A rally has been planned during President Trump's visit to Southampton Village for a campaign fund-raiser at Howard Lorber's house Friday.

The Dump Trump rally will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of Mr. Lorber's Halsey Neck Lane estate. President Trump is expected to attend a roundtable with supporters and a luncheon that will benefit Trump Victory, a joint committee for Trump’s 2020 campaign and the Republican National Committee, according to Bloomberg News.

Mr. Lorber, whom the president has described as one of his best friends, is the executive chairman of Nathan's Famous Inc., the hot dog company, and the chief executive officer of the Vector Group, the parent company of Douglas Elliman Realty. He was an economic advisor to Mr. Trump's 2016 presidential campaign.

The group will meet at Halsey Neck Lane and Hill Street. Those joining the rally have been asked not to block traffic or entrances to driveways. Participants have been encouraged to bring signs that read: "Immigrants Make America Great," "#KeepFamiliesTogether," "Climate Change is Real," and "Protect Mother Earth."

Organizers have recommended that rally-goers carpool and park on Moses, Corrigan, or Bishop Streets, north of Hill Street.

For those living farther west, protestors will also gather at Gabreski Airport in Westhampton Beach, where Air Force One will land Friday morning.
