Montauk Youth’s annual field day will be held on Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at Third House. The free event includes a bounce house, a tug of war, face painting, relay races, and live music by the 3B’s. Hot dogs, soup, chili, and snacks will be sold, and there will be a raffle to help offset the cost of the event. Those interested in volunteering have been asked to email montaukyouth@gmail.com.

Feeling that Halloween spirit? Montauk Youth has begun Scarecrow Days, the group’s effort to decorate the hamlet for the spooky season. Individuals, businesses, and organizations interested in making a family-friendly scarecrow for display in the business district or the harbor area can pick up frames at John’s Drive-In or call 631-835-8684.

Prizes will be awarded to the top scarecrows on Wednesday. This year the event is sponsored by Town & Country Real Estate and Riverhead Building Supply.
