On Thursday, the Sag Harbor Community Rowing Club will hold an open house about its fall all-ages rowing programs. It will include a free introductory rowing lesson — on land — for anyone 10 and older. The club operates from a waterfront access on Redwood Road in Sag Harbor.

Started in 2008, the club provides rowers of all ages and all skill levels the ability to practice at their own convenience from May 1 to Nov. 1. It also offers programs for all those interested in learning the sport as well as weekly group rowing sessions. Private lessons are also available.

A 2018 summer rowing camp, which was open to those 9 and up,  featured a different guest coach from a major college-level rowing program each week.

During the school year, middle and high school competitive teams are available.

The open house starts at 6 p.m., and will last until 7:30. More information and R.S.V.P.s are being taken at leeoldak@rowsagharbor.org.
