Almond has settled into the charming building at the corner of Ocean Road, to which it moved last year, and its following has grown. Jason Weiner is the co-owner and executive chef with partners Eric Lemonides and Antonio Rappazzo. The wine list is mainly French, to match a menu that includes escargots, red wine-braised short ribs, and steak frites, but dishes are far from routine. Macaroni and cheese? It comes with proscuitto and truffles. There’s a “plat du jour” daily and a specal Meatless Monday. Almond also has a New York branch, on East 22nd Street.
