Matthew Guiffrida’s venture on Sag Harbor’s main drag has all the basics splashed with inventive preparations including Wasabi Au Poivre Long Island duck, zucchini flapjacks “with Mama G’s Cupolitina” (a sauce of eggplant, capers, artichoke, and olives), a pulled-pork beignet, roasted red-pepper home fries, and at brunch, French toast stuffed with peanut butter mousse. Menu descriptions are sometimes way out, as in “brutally” whipped cream and a “torched” marshmallow.
