Round Swamp branched out this spring with a market in the parking lot behind the Candy Kitchen. Brian Niggles, who is in charge, is a member of Lester family, of course, and it is carrying almost everything found at the East Hampton original. Both shops have house-baked muffins, cakes and cookies, and a wide variety of prepared dishes. The bulk of the fresh food is raised on the family's farm or caught by family members. Many dishes freeze well; jams and some vegetables are put up in jars. Weekend crowds are frequent and prices are high, but the lines move steadily and most customers say it's worth it for the quality.
