Red bar exemplifies the look of a sophisticated Hampton's house. Candlelight gives the dark interior a touch of romance, which attracts a young and frequently ebullient crowd. The menu offers innovative choices, such as grilled calamari with shaved fennel, argula, calabrian chilies, cerignola olives, lemon and olive oil. There's a crackling pork shank with whole grains, pumpkin, kale, and dried fruits. Truffled chicken breast with wild mushroom risotto and french beans, a customer favorite, is also offered. Red bar is owned by David Loewenberg and partners, who also own little red, Beacon, Fresno, and the Bell and Anchor.
