Six months after her arrest, Evelyn Calderon, formerly of the East Hampton Town Building Department, took a deal in a Riverhead court Wednesday, pleading guilty to 10 counts of bribery and official misconduct. She was sentenced to 840 hours of community service, five years of probation, and a $29,200 fine.
Alleged Amagansett Burglar Had Just Posted Bail for Similar Southampton Crime
A handyman from Hampton Bays was arrested Friday and charged with three felonies in connection with two burglaries in Amagansett in June. At his arraingment in East Hampton Town Justice Court, it came to light that he is out on bail on similar charges in Southampton Village.
