The 85-year-old Pridwin Beach Hotel , at the end of Crescent Beach, offers fine sunset views and is a mainstay on Shelter Island. The Petry family, father and son, go fishing and provide the restaurant with their catches, and they take advantage of what grows on the North Fork's farms. There's an extensive list of Long Island wines. On Wednesday, there is barbecue and live entertainment; most nights it provides supervised kids movies from 7-9 p.m. while parents dine. The Pridwin Lounge is popular for drinks, including cocktails with infused liquors and syrups. Boaters are welcome.
