Although the Surf Lodge's bar, den, and deck are usually jam-packed with young people out to have fun to the tune of "surf and skate-centric live music," the restaurant serves seafood using seasonal ingredients. Appetizers can include mussels in a Thai broth, seared scallops, or crab ceviche with blueberries and popcorn. For main courses, there can be whole fried flounder, pasta with lobster, or cod with shredded daikon. Desserts are often made in house. If you get there before things start to pop, you can take in the sunset over Fort Pond, while dining indoors or out, or a surf movie without too much fuss.
