West Lake Clam & Chowder House

A quintessential summer spot offering simple foods, a water view, and people having a good time. The restaurant is in the middle of the West Lake Marina. It has an inside bar and dining area, an outside bar with a frieze of dried starfish, a sushi bar, an outside dining area, and a view of Lake Montauk. The menu, with touches of Japanese, Chinese, and Cajun cuisine, takes you by surprise. There are sushi platters, a raw bar, and daily specials, which might include deep-fried whole sea bass stuffed with ginger, spicy blackened cubes of swordfish with a dipping sauce, and pork shaman dumplings.
