The Amagansett Life-Saving Station will host a lineup of programs to mark International Water Safety Day on Saturday. From 11 to 2, there will be talks and interactive activities offering “a wealth of education to help waterproof our community.” 

Calling all ARF pets and their human companions: the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons will celebrate its 50th anniversary on Saturday with "a tail-wagging pet fair dedicated to the joy our cats and dogs bring and the impact of ARF's rescue efforts for the last 50 years, and the next 50 years to come," the organization said in an announcement.

There will be a rally on Friday at 3:45 p.m. at the Hampton Bays train station to rustle up support for increased train service on the South Fork Commuter Connection.

Organizers of the Hamptons Pride Parade on June 1 have put out the call for marchers, while the committee overseeing a Juneteenth family festival are looking for vendors to set up in Herrick Park on June 19. 

The coming week brings several opportunities to join in the East Hampton Litter Action Committee's No-Fling Spring initiative, with cleanups in Montauk and Amagansett, and a dance party to cap it all off in Springs. 

To help with the continuing costs of medical care, Kayla Kearney's family hopes community members will turn out in force at a benefit called #KKStrong at the Clubhouse on Saturday.

The East Hampton Food Pantry’s board of directors has a new member. Emily Paxson Sabnani, a volunteer who lives in Amagansett, will take the seat recently vacated by Michael Bassett.

Stony Brook Medicine will hold a job fair on Thursday from noon to 4 p.m. at the East Hampton Library to share information about a range of positions available at Stony Brook Southampton Hospital and Stony Brook Eastern Long Island Hospital in Greenport.

There will be a dance party fund-raiser at Rosie's restaurant on Thursday, May 2, from 6 to 9 p.m. to support the East Hampton Education Foundation, which provides thousands of dollars in grants to local teachers each year.

The East Hampton Library is offering a scholarship and employment opportunity for a bilingual person interested in pursuing a career in library and information science.

The outreach ministry at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church has invited the public to join in a fund-raiser to support the Rural and Migrant Ministry that will include a Justice Walk on Saturday from St. Thomas Episcopal Chapel to Amber Waves Farm, both on Main Street, Amagansett, starting at noon.
