Part of a new series from the Wainscott Heritage Project, on Saturday at the Wainscott Chapel, Geoff Gehman, a journalist and the author of "The Kingdom of the Kid: Growing Up in the Long-Lost Hamptons," will go "Beyond the Kingdom: Wainscott 1.0 and 2.5." Starting at 10 a.m., he will dive into the past by way of his memories of life here in the 1960s and 1970s, from Norman Jaffe architecture to the Georgica Association to Truman Capote.

Mr. Gehman will also discuss his present life in the hamlet, where he stays twice a year.

Next up in the series, on June 29 at 10 a.m., Sarah Kautz, a preservation consultant and the director of the Southampton History Museum, will discuss the Wainscott Reconnaissance Survey, providing updates and answering questions on the historical and architectural project.
