Bridgehampton Day Returns on Saturday

Bridgehampton Day is back for a seventh year. This annual festival of community pride will take place on Saturday from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center.

The event will feature a basketball showcase with the Harlem Wizards, a bounce house and slide, music, braiding and haircut professionals, and ice cream and food vendors. T-shirts will be available for purchase. The organizers request that attendees take their own chairs or blankets to sit on.

Golden Eagle Art Supply Store to Close

The Golden Eagle, an art supply store and East Hampton institution that first opened in 1954, will close next month. It’s a familiar story, as told most recently by Nancy Rowan and Michael Weisman, the Golden Eagle’s owners: The internet has decimated brick-and-mortar retailers across the country.
