Bridgehampton Day is back for a seventh year. This annual festival of community pride will take place on Saturday from 1 to 8 p.m. at the Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center.
The event will feature a basketball showcase with the Harlem Wizards, a bounce house and slide, music, braiding and haircut professionals, and ice cream and food vendors. T-shirts will be available for purchase. The organizers request that attendees take their own chairs or blankets to sit on.

Thomas James of the East Hampton’s first church “came to the New World in search of religious freedom but found that freedom was not enough.” So says an announcement for a lecture next Thursday provokingly titled “The Convict Pastor: Thomas James and the Puritan Roots of Christian Nationalism.”
“Grounded Conversation: What Remains,” set for Sunday afternoon from 2 to 4:30 at LongHouse Reserve, will focus on green burials, human composting, eco-cremations, and how to sustainably prepare for death.
