The East Hampton Fire Department’s annual Fire Prevention Open House is happening on Sunday, at the start of National Fire Prevention Week. The truck bay doors at the firehouse on Cedar Street will be open to the public from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

There will be interactive fire prevention and safety activities for all ages as well as demonstrations, displays, and free refreshments. The winners of the department’s annual John M. Marshall Elementary School fire prevention poster contest will be announced that day as well.

The rain date is Oct. 13.
