A 32-year-old Springs woman who police said was driving without a license was injured last Thursday evening in a two-car accident in East Hampton.

Monica Morocho was driving a 2009 Toyota, belonging to Dutch Petals, a Southampton company, on Three Mile Harbor Road in East Hampton when she rear-ended a 2011 Honda, which was stopped in the road. Nikoloz Otiashvili of Springs, the driver of the Honda, told police he was waiting to make a left onto Muir Boulevard when it happened. The accident was reported at about 7:15 p.m.

Ms. Morocho did not provide police a statement, “due to the injuries sustained upon impact,” the report said. Police said she was in and out of consciousness. A Springs Fire Department ambulance transported her to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. A medevac helicopter had been initially called but was canceled, Springs Fire Chief Darrin Downs said.

Police ticketed Ms. Morocho for unlicensed driving, a violation. Mr. Otiashvili complained of pain but refused medical attention.

Also last Thursday evening, a car clipped two bicyclists, sending them to the hospital. Maria Bentancur of East Hampton told police she was driving a 1998 Mercedes sedan west on the Napeague stretch of Montauk Highway when glare from the sun obstructed her view and she struck the bicyclists, who were also heading west.

Jose Rea of Springs, 39, and Jorge A. Contreras, 58, of East Hampton both had minor bleeding, according to the accident report. Mr. Contreras was thrown off his bike. Amagansett ambulances transported both men to Stony Brook Southampton Hospital.
