Finding and Keeping Employees

The East Hampton Chamber of Commerce will hold a discussion on recruiting and retaining employees on Tuesday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Nick and Toni’s on North Main Street. Ari Wind, an executive at BenefitMall, a national provider of employee benefits, will also give a presentation on ways businesses, particularly small ones with 3 to 10 employees, can reduce health care costs.

Complimentary baked goods and coffee will be served. Admission is $15 for nonmembers.

 

New Hire at WordHampton

WordHampton Public Relations has hired Kiersten Hartley as an account coordinator. Ms. Hartley’s duties include managing social media accounts and facilitating the firm’s East End and Long Island Restaurant Week events.

“We are excited to have Kiersten join our team,” said Nicole Castillo, the company’s executive vice president. “She brings enthusiasm and a fresh perspective.”

 

Linguist Joins Town & Country

Town and Country Real Estate has announced that Vanessa Sanmartin will join the firm as an agent in its Bridgehampton office. Ms. Sanmartin speaks Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and French; she studied marketing at St. John’s University, and earned a law degree from Hofstra University.

“That blend of marketing savvy, business background, and legal acumen is key to her success in real estate,” the agency said.
