Mon, 08/30/2021 - 15:54
A large-scale sculpture in metal by Chris Kelly, whose work is above, will be on view in the sculpture garden at the Hamptons Fine Art Fair this weekend.

Hamptons Fine Art Fair, a new entry in the ever-changing East End art fair landscape, but one with links, through its director, Rick Friedman, to the ArtHamptons of yore, is opening Thursday at the Southampton Arts Center, and will continue through Sunday.

The fair includes 51 in-person booths from national and international galleries and another 20 virtual booths. Among the local galleries participating is Colm Rowan Fine Art of East Hampton, whose artists include Chris Kelly, Gerson Leiber, and Elizabeth Strong-Cuevas.

The East Hampton dealers Lawrence Fine Art, Roman Fine Art, and Willoughby Art are also represented, as are Mark Borghi of Bridgehampton and Sag Harbor, and Black and White Gallery/Project Space and Loves Gallery of Southampton.

The fair will honor Audrey Flack with a lifetime achievement award, and a solo presentation of her work will be featured by Hollis Taggert Gallery of New York City. Ms. Flack, who has had a studio in East Hampton since the mid-1970s, is represented by rare early Abstract Expressionist works as well as her pioneering Photorealist paintings.
The fair will open with a preview for the benefit of the arts center, Thursday from 4 to 10 p.m. Friday to Sunday, the hours are noon to 9. The fair’s website is the source for tickets.
