Comedy at Bay Street

Bay Street Theater’s All Star Comedy series will kick off its 13th season in Sag Harbor on Saturday at 8 p.m. with performances by Reg Thomas, Adam Mamawala, and Ahri Findling.

Mr. Thomas’s comedy style has been inspired by Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock, and his immigrant Haitian parents. Mr. Mamawala has appeared on Comedy Central, MTV, BET, and SiriusXM. Mr. Findling has performed at the New York Comedy Festival, Trial by Laughter, and the Pittsburgh Comedy Festival.

Tickets range from $37 to $47; $47 to $57 on the day of the show.

Jialin Yao will perform a classical piano recital at the Southampton Cultural Center.

Classical Recital

The Southampton Cultural Center’s Liliane Questel Recital Series will resume on Saturday at 6 p.m. with a performance by Jialin Yao, an alumnus of Pianofest in the Hamptons.

Mr. Yao has performed piano concertos with the Boulder Symphony, Malaga Philharmonic Orchestra, Friuli Venezia Giulia Orchestra, Miami Chamber Orchestra, Wuhan Philharmonic Orchestra, and Orchestra Academia China, among others. He has won prizes in the Singapore International Piano Competition, the Steinway Piano Competition, and the Santa Cecilia International Piano Competition.

The program will include works by Granados, Beethoven, Ravel, Chopin, and Prokofiev. Tickets are $25 in advance, $30 at the door. They are free for students under 21.

Long Island Modern

LongHouse Reserve’s Long Island Modern lecture series will conclude on Sunday afternoon from 3 to 5. The discussion, led by Alastair Gordon, will focus on the preservation of modernist structures on Eastern Long Island.

It’s a subject few people know more about than Mr. Gordon, a critic, curator, and cultural historian whose books include “Weekend Utopia: Modern Living in the Hamptons,” “Beach Houses: Andrew Geller,” and “Romantic Modernist: The Life and Work of Norman Jaffe Architect 1932-1993.”

Lee Skolnick will introduce the program; additional speakers will be announced. Tickets are $35, $25 for members.

Jazz at the Temple

After a five-month hiatus, Jazz Jam sessions have returned to the Sag Harbor Masonic Temple. Now known as Jazz Night, the programs, presented with Hamptons JazzFest, will happen on a biweekly basis, starting tomorrow at 7 p.m. with a performance by Ada Rovatti and the Friday Night Live Band.

Doors will open for socializing at 6:30. A portion of the $20 admission charge is donated to local charities.

Susan Wood in Focus

Susan Wood, whose celebrated career as a photographer began in the early 1950s and led to her recognition in 1961 as one of Mademoiselle magazine’s “Ten Young Women of the Year,” will be at The Church in Sag Harbor tomorrow at 6 p.m. for a conversation with April Gornik.

Ms. Wood’s photographs were seen regularly in magazines such as Vogue, Life, People, New York Magazine, and Look, for which she shot a 1969 cover story featuring John Lennon and Yoko Ono. She also worked with major film studios as a stills photographer — last year, the Sag Harbor Cinema devoted an exhibition to her film work.

A dedicated advocate for women’s rights and equality and a founding member of the Women’s Forum, Ms. Wood, who lives primarily in Amagansett, developed alliances with trailblazers of the feminist movement, including Betty Friedan and Gloria Steinem.

After sharing stories from her accomplished career, she will take questions. Tickets are $10, free for members who R.S.V.P.

Garden Talk

“Inspiration From Our Garden Tours: Sharing Ideas and Learning More,” the next round table of the Horticultural Alliance of the Hamptons, will be held at the Bridgehampton Community House on Saturday at 10 a.m.

Moderated by Pamela Harwood, the session will afford members an opportunity to share what they learned and enjoyed most about the more than 20 gardens they visited during the past year, both in comments and a slide show.

The round table programs are open to nonmembers at no charge.
