Almond restaurant and the L&W Market in Bridgehampton announced the hiring of Jessica Craig as a pastry chef. Ms. Craig, a Long Island native, previously worked at Nick and Toni's in East Hampton, L'Artusi, an Italian restaurant in New York City, and for Steven de Bruyn, a certified Belgian master chef. She also appeared in an episode of the Food Network television show "Chopped." The signature items she will prepare include lemon blueberry muffins, salted pretzel blondies, and blueberry galettes. 

Specials in East Hampton
Nick and Toni's in East Hampton has a two-course prix fixe dinner special for $75 per person on Wednesdays through Mondays. Among this week's entree choices are corn risotto with lobster and Pecorino Romano cheese, grilled veal chop with eggplant caponata, Sungold tomatoes, and saba, and the catch of the day with sugar snap peas, roasted cipollini onions, and salsa verde.

Fresno in East Hampton has two dinner specials on Thursdays through Tuesdays. A New York strip steak with street corn, heirloom tomato salsa, and bacon roasted purple fingerling potatoes is $55, and a whole roasted loup de mer (European bass) with zucchini and yellow squash salad, and basil aioli is $44.

Rowdy Hall in Amagansett is celebrating 30 years in business by launching a 1 Percent for the East End Giving Campaign, in which the locally owned restaurant will donate 1 percent of its monthly revenue to a rotating local charity serving the East End throughout 2026.
