Giadaganza
Giada De Laurentiis, the celebrity chef and restaurateur, is taking the Hamptons by storm this week. Starting Thursday and continuing throughout the month, Giadzy, her line of organic Italian pasta and other Italian comestibles from the Alps to Sicily will be available for purchase in a pop-up inside Il Buco al Mare restaurant in Amagansett.
Ms. De Laurentiis and Donna Lennard, the owner of the Il Buco chain of restaurants and shops, will be at Il Buco al Mare on Saturday from 4 to 6 p.m. to sign copies of their respective books, "Giada's Italy" and "Il Buco: Stories and Recipes."
On Saturday evening, the restaurant will feature Bucatini al Nerano from Ms. De Laurentiis as well as Il Buco dishes made with Giadzy's ingredients.
Finally, Guild Hall's "Stirring the Pot" series of culinary conversations will bring Ms. De Laurentiis there for a talk with Florence Fabricant, the New York Times food and wine writer, on Sunday morning at 11. Attendees will receive a code to redeem for a free box of pasta on giadzy.com, and breakfast from Citarella will be available starting at 10.
Tickets, which are selling fast, are $35, $31.50 for members.
Olympic Tipple
During the Olympic Games, three Honest Man properties, Nick and Toni's in East Hampton, Rowdy Hall in Amagansett, and Townline BBQ in Sagaponack, are offering a special cocktail they're calling the Opening Ceremony. The drink features Jean-Yves Perard Champagne Brut NV, Lillet Blanc, Angostura bitters, Demerara syrup, and a lemon rind.
