Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 550 is organizing the East Hampton event, which begins at 10 a.m., and has invited all veterans or active-duty military members to march from London Jewelers on Main Street to the monument on the Hook Mill green, a short walk that will conclude with a brief ceremony at the monument. Afterwards, American Legion Post 419 in Amagansett will hold a short service at 11 a.m.

In Sag Harbor a parade begins by the Civil War monument on Main Street at 10 a.m. and continues to Bay Street and the Chelberg and Battle American Legion Post 388 on Bay Street. There, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will mark the official opening of a new exhibition area.

In Montauk, the Montauk Playhouse Community Center Foundation will hold a flag ceremony to honor veterans at 10 a.m. Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts will raise the flag and there will be patriotic music by various players including Montauk's own Pat DeRosa, a World War II veteran. The community is invited to attend the ceremony and a gathering after it in the Senior Nutrition Center dining room, where refreshments will be served.
