Advertising Sales Associate

We are looking for a confident, detail-oriented ambitious person to join our sales and marketing team. Base salary plus commission. Medical plan, vision, and dental. 401(k).

Duties: Manage assigned house accounts; recruit new accounts. Hands-on development and production of content-driven opportunities for existing and new advertisers; make daily calls to clients; sell multimedia products including print, digital, and social media solutions; make connections and develop relationships with local businesses; network and attend business and/or nonprofit-events; meet and exceed sales goals; work well with the production department and distribution team, and evaluate and update media kits.

Qualifications: Reliable transportation, computer competency, excellent phone skills, strong work ethic. This position is best suited for a self-motivated, driven person who is hardworking and eager to learn.

General Assignment Reporter

We are seeking ​​​​​​a full-time reporter to join our staff. Responsibilities will include covering a range of beats from local government and breaking news to business, arts, cultural, and human interest stories in a dynamic and diverse community. Previous experience preferred, but will train a candidate with demonstrated writing skills and a strong interest in community journalism. Candidates must have reliable transportation and be willing to work locally, noting that housing is a challenge in this region. Salary range $26 to $31 per hour, based on experience.
