A Scarsdale, N.Y., man was arrested in Montauk on June 9 and charged with felony cocaine possession.

East Hampton Town police spotted John P. Detmer, 27, behind the Montauk Medical Center on Montauk Highway at 1 a.m. The medical center was closed.

When officers approached, he reportedly dropped a plastic bag containing over 500 milligrams of cocaine from his pants pocket. He was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree and held for arraignment. East Hampton Town Justice Steven Tekulsky released him later that morning on $500 bail.

On June 4, Glenn W. Olsen, 61, was arrested after he broke a bedroom door in half and threw it off the deck of his house on Fort Pond Boulevard in Springs. He was charged with criminal mischief, a misdemeanor, at about 7:30 p.m. Justice Lisa R. Rana arraigned him the next morning and released him on his own recognizance.

Conor Thomas Frank, a 25-year-old without an address, was arrested twice this month on a petty larceny charge. The second time, he landed in the Suffolk County jail. On June 12 at 5:45 p.m., police said, he stole a bottle of Banana Boat Dry Balance sunscreen, priced at $12.99, from the Montauk 7-Eleven. Ten days before that, he took $9 from a tip jar at Left Hand Coffee on South Elmwood Avenue. He had been released after that arrest on $500 bail.
