New in Springs

Bel Mare Ristorante, the Italian eatery that recently opened in the former home of Michael’s at Maidstone Park in Springs, is serving dinner daily from 4 to 10 p.m. The menu features entrees such as pizza with mushrooms and truffle oil for $18.95, chicken Parmigiana for $19.95, and linguine with shrimp, scallops, calamari, and mussels with a choice of either marinara, alfredo, vodka, or Sambuca sauce for $28.95.

 

Pizza on the Stretch

The Best Pizza Dive Bar, which opened recently on the Napeague stretch next door to Goldberg’s Famous Bagels, offers 20-inch pizzas starting at $24 (toppings are extra), and meatball, chicken Parmigiana, eggplant, and catch of the day heros. The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to late in the evening.

 

Village Market

Kristofer Kalas, a chef and chocolatier, has opened Hello Oma, a market with fresh produce, meats, pantry staples, pastries, espresso, and house-made chocolates at 27 Race Lane in East Hampton Village. The store is open daily from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

Healthy Smoothies

Items from Daily Harvest, a meal delivery service that offers frozen pre-made fruit and vegetable smoothies, and dishes such as sweet potato and wild rice hash, will be sold at Amber Waves Market in Amagansett through Labor Day weekend. A selection of Daily Harvest smoothies has also been added to the menu at the fire pit deck at Gurney’s Montauk Resort.

 

Lobster Roll Special

Hooked, a seafood takeout restaurant in Montauk, is offering a discount to those who order a lobster roll and a beverage in advance. The price is between $25 and $30 depending on the beverage.

 

Tequila at Almond

Almond in Bridgehampton now has a tequila-centric cocktail menu featuring drinks such as La Paloma, which is made with Don Julio blanco tequila, fresh grapefruit, lime, agave, and a splash of club soda, and costs $14.

 

At Gurney’s

Gurney’s Montauk Resort hosts a weekly barbecue at its beach club on Sundays from 4 to 7 p.m. The fare includes smoked wagyu brisket, chicken, Korean barbecue short ribs, St. Louis pork ribs, and lamb porchetta, plus side dishes such as German potato salad, and macaroni and cheese. The cost is $75 per person, and $30 for children under 12. Next Thursday, the resort will hold a lobster bake at 7 p.m. at the beach club. The cost is $90 per person, and $30 for kids under 12. Reservations are via the hotel’s website.
