Thu, 08/01/2019 - 13:05

Family and friends of Audra Schutte Balcuns will gather for a celebration of her life at the American Legion Hall in Amagansett on Saturday. The reception will be from 2 to 5 p.m., and those who knew her have been invited to drop in anytime, her brother, Patrick Schutte, said.

Ms. Balcuns, a former public safety dispatcher for East Hampton Village who had also been a volunteer emergency medical technician with the Springs Fire Department, died at home in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., on Feb. 20 at the age of 47. She had Lyme disease and dysautonomia, an autonomic nervous system disorder, for four years.
