He does not want to press charges, but would like his bike back.

Someone called on the afternoon of Sept. 16 to report that kids were pushing a shopping cart off the train station ramp and onto the tracks on Railroad Avenue. An officer swung by and found a cart in the woods on the north side of the tracks. There was no debris on the tracks, and no one was around.

A 95-year-old woman who lives on the Crossways complained on Sept. 17 about solicitors calling her house. Police advised her not to answer unfamiliar numbers.

A cab driver parked near the Palm at the Huntting Inn on the afternoon of Sept. 18 may have been looking at sexual images on his cellphone and possibly touching himself, a woman told police. The caller said the man was not exposing himself, but that she found the behavior “highly alarming” and wanted the incident on record. Police were not able to find the man.

An argument over an alleged therapy dog led to a disturbance at John’s Pancake House on the morning of Sept. 17. Helen Battista, who works there, said a woman had been told not to bring her small dog into the restaurant, but she sneaked it in anyway, concealing it in a bag. After she was finished eating, Ms. Battista followed her out and told her she could not return. The woman stood by the front door, yelling obscenities and refusing to leave. When Ms. Battista tried to push the front door closed, the woman kicked her in the stomach. Ms. Battista called police at 10:10 a.m. The officer spoke to the customer, who said she should be allowed to bring the dog in because it is “a therapy companion” dog, the report said. She also claimed she was the one who was pushed. Neither party wished to pursue charges.

A Navy Road homeowner filed a trespassing report after finding cigarettes and liquor bottles at his house on Sept. 15. Francis Parise said he rented the house from May 24 through Sept. 5. When he went there the day after the renters left, he said, he found the place a mess, with cigarette butts on the front lawn, women’s clothes strewn throughout the house, and vodka bottles in the freezer. He had a cleaning crew come in and all was tidy when he left the house on Sept. 7. But when he returned on Sept. 15, he saw that the four bottles of vodka from the freezer were gone and there was a cigarette butt in the toilet. He went to police two days later to document the incident, but did not wish to pursue charges.
