Fighting Chance Gala to Honor Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman

Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman, the founders of Yoga Shanti in Sag Harbor, will be honored at Fighting Chance’s summer party at the Wesnofske family barn on Scuttlehole Road in Bridgehampton on Saturday. They will receive a medal of honor for 2019 for Yoga Shanti’s 10 years of partnership with the free cancer counseling center, which is based in Sag Harbor and serves the East End. The studio offers a free twice-a-week yoga class for those entering long-term cancer remission.

All In for East Hampton Town Justice

In a rare political occurrence, a sitting Republican justice is seeking the Democratic nomination to remain on the East Hampton Town bench.

Lisa R. Rana, who has Republican, Independence, and new EH Fusion Party support, will face Andrew Strong in a Democratic Primary on Tuesday. Whatever the outcome in the primary, Ms. Rana’s place on the ballot for the November general election is secure.

In an interview last week, she said that she decided to try to force the primary to give Democrats a choice for town justice.
