Jerome Lucani at Keszler

Jerome Lucani’s photomontage series will be on view through spring and summer at the Keszler Gallery in Southampton. The smaller images are typically from key moments in their lives.

The works take the tiny iconic images and use them as mosaic tiles to be part of the shading and contours of the portrait, using journalistic and documentary photography to create fine art.

Looking for Docents

The Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center in Springs has issued a call for volunteer docents to lead educational tours through the house and studio this season. Docents give tours Thursdays through Saturdays from May to October, by appointment.

This year’s exhibitions will celebrate the centennial of Jackson Pollock’s birth and will include works by Pollock as well as José Clemente Orozco and a number of artists who were influenced by him.

Docents will be asked to attend two training sessions, commit to a minimum of four hours a month as tour guides, and demonstrate knowledge of information supplied to them. They should enjoy public speaking and have an interest in 20th-century American art. Professional staff support is available to the guides should a need arise.

The first training session is on May 5 from 10 a.m. to noon at the house on Springs-Fireplace Road. Preregistration is required and can be made by calling Ruby Jackson at the center.
