The Bay Street Theatre has announced its 2013 Mainstage season and a local audition date for the productions of “Lend Me a Tenor,” “The Mystery of Irma Vep,” and “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum.” The theater has also announced a local audition date for Literature Live’s fall production of “The Diary of Anne Frank.”

Equity principal and non-equity auditions will be held at the theater, on Long Wharf at the corner of Bay and Main Streets in Sag Harbor, on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Local actors with housing have been strongly encouraged to attend. Those auditioning for a dramatic role should prepare a brief comedy monologue under two minutes in length. Those auditioning for a musical role should prepare 16 bars of an up-tempo song and take along sheet music in the correct key; an accompanist will be provided but may not transpose. Auditioning actors should take a picture and résumé, stapled together, and have been asked to stipulate if they have housing or residence on the East End.
