‘Carnage’ in Quogue
Audience participation would be inadvisable during “God of Carnage,” Yasmina Reza’s play about the gradual descent into vituperation and recrimination of two sets of parents discussing an altercation between their children. The play will conclude the 2013-2014 season of the Hampton Theatre Company at the Quogue Community Hall with a run from May 22 through June 8.
Joe Palliser will play Michael Novak, a housewares wholesaler married to Veronica, a socially conscious writer portrayed by Jessica Ellwood. Andrew Botsford has the role of Alan Raleigh, a corporate attorney glued to his cellphone, and Rosemary Cline plays Annette, a wealth management consultant. Diana Marbury, HTC’s artistic director, will design the set and direct the production.
Show times are Thursdays and Fridays at 7 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m., and Sunday afternoons at 2. Tickets are priced at $25, $23 for senior citizens (except Saturdays), and $10 for students under 21.
