Guild Hall: Not a Dull Moment

    Guild Hall’s screening of “Babette’s Feast” at 8 tomorrow night will be followed by a conversation with top chefs and a complimentary dessert provided by, of course, Babette’s restaurant. Tickets are $22, $20 for members.

    Before the movie starts, a cocktail reception featuring Scandinavian cuisine will be held at c/o The Maidstone.

    On Saturday at 8, the Grammy-winning saxophonist Branford Marsalis and his quartet’s longtime pianist, Joey Calderozzo, will take the Guild Hall stage to perform “Songs of Mirth and Melancholy.” Tickets run from $40 for balcony seats on up to $100 for prime orchestra seating

    Rosamond Bernier, the well-known lecturer at the Museum of Modern Art, will speak at 11 a.m. on Sunday as part of Guild Hall’s Sundays with Luminaries series. Ms. Bernier, who seems to have known everyone worth knowing in the last century and this, has promised to recount firsthand stories of Pablo Picasso, Leonard Bernstein, Max Ernst, Aaron Copland, Malcolm Lowry, and Karl Lagerfeld. Tickets are $15, or $13 for members.

    Guild Hall’s busy weekend will conclude on Sunday night with a performance of “Broadway to Main Street: Comedy Tonight!” at 7:30. David Costabile, Veanne Cox, and Mary Testa will sing some of Broadway’s funniest songs, with David Gaines providing musical direction. Prime orchestra seats include a V.I.P. reception catered by Citarella, $65 or $63 for members.
