The Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill will feature the Hendrik Meurkens Samba Jazz Quartet in its next Jazz en Plein Air program, tomorrow at 6 p.m.

Born in Germany, Mr. Meurkens mastered the vibraphone and chromatic harmonica before pursuing formal studies at Boston’s Berklee College of Music. He moved to Rio de Janiero in 1982 and there immersed himself in Brazil’s many musical styles.

Guests have been advised to bring lawn chairs or blankets for the performances; food and drink are available from the Golden Pear Cafe. The concerts are free with museum admission, which is $10, free for members, students, and children.
