Madoo Garden Talks

   The winter lecture series at the Madoo Conservancy in Sagaponack will begin Sunday with Charlotte Moss, an interior designer and gardener from East Hampton. Her lecture, “Outside Influences,” will include a slide-illustrated tour of gardens from her worldwide travels as well as her own grounds. She will also sign copies of her book “Charlotte Moss: A Visual Life,” which will be available for purchase for $60, $50 for members.

    The next lecture will be by Anne Raver on “Green Solutions” on March 17. The New York Times garden columnist will look at “soft solutions” to protect built environments and improve natural habitats. Mick Hales will finish out the series on March 24 with “Catch the Eye,” a slide lecture featuring the photographer’s archive of garden pictures from around the world, including England, where he recently visited.

    Each lecture starts at noon at Robert Dash’s winter house and painting studio, with a reception following in the living quarters. The gardens will be open. Tickets for each lecture cost $30, $20 for members. The series costs $75, or $45 for members. Reservations by e-mail at [email protected] have been encouraged.
