Montauk School District voters easily passed the $18.6 million budget for the 2014-15 school year and elected Jason Biondo during a vote on Tuesday.

With 132 votes, Mr. Biondo will fill a seat that will be vacated by Lisa Ward in June. Cynthia Ibrahim received 78 votes.

The budget proposal, a decrease of about $100,000 from this year, passed 188 to 25. The tax levy increase is .43 percent, under the state cap.

A proposition to spend $400,000 from the district’s capital fund to replace two modular classrooms was approved 189-to-24.
