Detectives are investigating an accident involving a motorcyclist and another vehicle on Route 114, near Goodfriend Drive, in East Hampton on Saturday afternoon, according to East Hampton Town Police Lieutenant John Claflin. The motorcyclist was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital with serious injuries, he said.

The accident occurred at about 3:45 p.m.

A Suffolk County medevac helicopter landed in a soccer field at the Ross School on Goodfriend Drive. The East Hampton Fire Department stood by for the helicopter landing.
