Dan’s GrillHampton,  a cooking competition and tasting event at which eight East End chefs will compete against eight chefs from Manhattan, will take place tomorrow night at the Fairview Farm at Mecox in Bridgehampton. Grilled fare, beer, and specialty cocktails will be served under a tent overlooking Mecox Bay, with early access for V.I.P.s beginning at 7 p.m., for $195, and the general admission event, for $140, occurring from 8 to 10:30 p.m. The evening will be hosted by Robert Irvine, a celebrity chef and owner of Robert Irvine’s Public House at the Tropicana in Las Vegas, and founder of the Robert Irvine Foundation.

On Saturday at the same location, Dan’s Taste of Two Forks, focusing on tastings from restaurants, chefs, and purveyors based on the North and South Forks, will take place. Alex Guarnaschelli, a judge on the Food Network show “Chopped,” chef and owner of Butter restaurant, and author of “Old-School Comfort Food,” will be the host. Participating restaurants include the North Fork Table and Inn, Lulu Kitchen and Bar, Navy Beach, the Frisky Oyster, Topping Rose House, and Duryea’s Lobster Deck.

V.I.P. tickets, which cost $325, will entitle holders to enter at 6:30 p.m., while general admission, at $185, begins at 7:30.

A portion of the ticket proceeds from both events will be donated to All for the East End, a nonprofit that supports various charities in the five East End towns.

Another chef-focused event on the horizon is the James Beard Foundation’s Chefs and Champagne tasting party at Wolffer Estate Vineyard in Sagaponack. This year’s event, honoring the chef, restaurateur, and cookbook author Marcus Samuelsson, is on July 29 from 5 to 10 p.m. More than 40 chefs will offer samples of their fare. Tickets cost $275, $200 for members of the foundation.
