    The Amber Waves Farm, at 375 Main Street in Amagansett, will host an Oktoberfeast celebration on Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. featuring local food and drink from a variety of producers.

    Included on the menu will be Mecox Bay pulled pork sliders, Iacono Farm barbecued chicken, Amber Waves soft pretzels and fall greens salad, sweet potato soup courtesy of Sunset Beach Farms, Quail Hill Farm German potato salad, Balsam Farms red cabbage cole- slaw, bread and sweet treats from Carissa’s Breads, Milk Pail hot apple cider, and fresh hop beer from the Montauk Brewing Company. Tickets cost $25 for adults, $10 for children, and can be purchased at the gate.

Brunchtime

    The transition from weekend outdoor activities to indoor leisure makes brunch come to mind, and one choice now is East Hampton’s Cafe Max. Sunday brunch is served from noon to 3 p.m. and features three courses for $20, or a la carte entrees from $14 to $16.

Before or Apres Films

    This weekend, while the Hamptons International Film Festival is in town, Serafina, which is on East Hampton’s North Main Street, will offer a prix fixe for those looking to grab a bite between films. The three-course prix fixe, which includes a glass of Prosecco, will be offered for $21.95 all night tonight, tomorrow, and Sunday, and until 7 p.m. on Saturday. Those looking to have a late-night drink on Saturday night, perhaps to discuss their cinematic day, will find Serafina serving specialty cocktails and complimentary pizzas at the bar, after 11 p.m.

Chefs at Fund-raiser

    A fund-raiser at 230 Elm in Southampton on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. for the Barnaba Institute’s work with victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation will feature cuisine by a team of Hamptons chefs, led by Jon Albrecht, the executive chef at Tutto Il Giorno in Sag Harbor, and is hosted by Giancarlo Esposito.

    Tickets to the event, which are $100, will include samples of each chef’s best fare. There will be a cash bar and live and silent auctions, as well as music by Brian Keene, a Grammy Award-winning composer and guitarist, with Tony Aiardo, a composer, pianist, and vocalist, and by the Scott Hobson Band.

Signature Dishes

    On Wednesday at noon at the Rogers Memorial Library in Southampton, Keith Greene, the chef at Schmidt’s Market and a participant in season two of the Fox Network’s “Hell’s Kitchen,” will demonstrate how to prepare some of his signature dishes. The event is free, though reservations are required. Those interested may register at www.myrml.org, or by calling the library. Participants may bring a bag lunch.

Taste Premium Teas

    At Plain-T’s “T Loft” in Southampton there will be a chance to sample sips of exotic rare hot and iced teas from gardens around the world and to learn about premium whole-leaf teas each Saturday from 3 to 5:30 p.m. The tea space is located at 87 Powell Avenue. Daily Prix Fixe

    The Living Room restaurant at c/o the Maidstone in East Hampton is offering a prix fixe nightly beginning at 5:30, with three courses for $35. The special continues all night on Sunday through Thursday, but concludes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

    Appetizer choices are a lettuce salad with shaved fennel, radishes, and merlot vinaigrette, sautéed seasonal forest mushrooms with toasted brioche, or cured gravlax; for entrees diners can choose handcut fettuccine with wild mushroom Bolognese, Black Angus hanger steak with creamed spinach custard, potato purée, and grilled red onions, or seared Atlantic salmon with savoy cabbage and roasted beets. A choice of dessert is also included.

Cooking Demonstration

    A free cooking demonstration at the Loaves and Fishes Cookshop in Bridgehampton on Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. will focus on preparing a goat cheese and mint frittata.
