It is sad to say, but even one of the seasonal restaurant holdouts will be closing its doors for winter soon. Inlet Seafood in Montauk will close for the season after its lunch service on Nov. 26. It will continue to operate until then Friday through Sunday, opening at noon.
No Turkey Talkathon
Wondering what to serve your vegan and vegetarian friends and relatives at Thanksgiving? Julie and Dan Resnick of Amagansett and the website Feedfeed.com will be joining Rachel and Andy Berliner of Amy’s Kitchen for a Twitter chat today with the hashtag #NoTurkeyTalkathon at 4 p.m.
Anyone who has ever walked down the Wild by Nature aisle in King Kullen will recognize the organic, gluten-free, dairy-free, and other specialty options the Petaluma, Calif., company makes, such as pizzas, burritos, soups, and much more. Feedfeed is a digital cooking publication and community of chefs, cooks, and bloggers that the Resnicks started in 2014. It draws on sources all over the web, but often features East End food products and chefs.
Townline Tunes
Townline BBQ in Sagaponack is offering happy hour specials with its live music on Friday nights this season. Fresh lime margaritas are $8, tap cocktails are $6, cans of beer are $4. They are joined by $6 wings and $3 warm pretzels with mustard. Tomorrow’s performers are the Waylan Brothers.
Rowdy Hall in East Hampton, owned by the group that also operates Townline, is now offering a lunch special weekdays starting at noon. For $12, patrons can order a cup of soup, a half sandwich, and a salad, with the selection changing daily. The special will not be offered on holidays.
